KATA PENGANTAR DARI KETUA FDPNI
Era milenium ditandai dengan adanya perubahan yang cepat, terbukanya berbagai peluang, dan tingkat persaingan yang semakin ketat. Untuk bisa menghadapi era tersebut diperlukan insan yang cerdas, kreatif dan inovatif. Hal ini menjadi tantangan besar bagi Politeknik Indonesia untuk menghasilkan konsep keilmuan maupun teknologi baru yang mampu meningkatkan daya saing bangsa. Dengan latar belakang dan pemikiran tersebut, maka Forum Direktur Politeknik Negeri se-Indonesia (FDPNI) sepakat untuk mensinergikan potensi seluruh Politeknik Negeri se-Indonesia untuk berkarya bersama dan berperan aktif dalam pembangunan serta peningkatan perekonomian nasional melalui kegiatan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, salah satunya melalui kegiatan penelitian terapan. Agar hasil penelitian tersebut dapat dipahami dan dimanfaatkan langsung oleh masyarakat luas, maka perlu adanya kegiatan deseminasi dan sosialisasi bersama baik dalam skala nasional maupun internasional. Sebagai wujud nyata dari pemikiran tersebut, maka melalui Badan Koordinasi Pusat/Unit Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Politeknik Indonesia (Bakor P3M/UP2M), maka FDPNI sepakat untuk penyelenggaraan Seminar Nasional Bersama, yaitu “Seminar Nasional Terapan Riset Inovatif “ (SENTRINOV) yang diselenggarakan mulai tahun 2015, dipelopori oleh Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) bersama dengan Politeknik Negeri Malang (Polinema), Politeknik Negeri Bali (PNB), dan Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bangka Belitung. Mulai tahun 2018 dan seterusnya, telah disepakati bersama bahwa sebagai penyelenggara SENTRINOV adalah 43 Politeknik Negeri yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Seminar ini merupakan sarana pertemuan para peneliti baik akademisi, praktisi, maupun pemerintah untuk saling berbagi ide, bertukar pengalaman, membangun kolaborasi dan kebersamaan sehingga semakin mendekatkan hasil penelitian yang bersifat terapan ke tahap industrialisasi dan pemanfaatan publik. Disamping seminar, pada kesempatan yang sama juga akan diselenggarakan pameran produk inofatif dalam bentuk teknologi tepat guna, prototype, dan buku. Untuk itu, pada kesempatan ini kami mengundang seluruh akademisi, peneliti, praktisi industri, pemerintah, dan masyarakat luas untuk berbagi hasil karya inovatif melalui presentasi ilmiah, poster, maupun pameran dalam SENTRINOV 2019 yang diselenggarakan di Bangka Belitung.

SEMINAR NASIONAL TERAPAN RISET INOVATIF (SENTRINOV) 2019 merupakan konferensi nasional yang diselenggarakan oleh 43 Politeknik Negeri se-Indonesia. SENTRINOV 2019 diselenggarakan untuk memfasilitasi para peneliti, akademisi dan praktisi industri dalam mempresentasikan hasil riset mereka yang bersifat terapan dan inovatif. Dengan tema:
"OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES OF THE INDUSTRY 4.0: HOW READY IS VOCATIONAL EDUCATION?"
Seminar ini diharapkan semakin mendekatkan hasil penelitian yang bersifat terapan dan inovatif ke tahap industrialisasi dan pemanfaatan publik.
